Job Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer

Location: Pune (Hybrid) / Remote

Experience Level: 5+ years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Software Development Test Automation Engineer to lead our test automation efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium, proficiency in JavaScript (Angular JS or Express JS) and a solid understanding of Java (Core and Advance) for integrating with backend systems and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and other tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyse test results, identify bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in test automation.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve automation strategies and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver & Selenium Grid.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Angular JS, Express JS).
  • Solid understanding of Java (Core and Advance) and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
  • Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Automation Infra: Hands-on E2E web automation (Java, Selenium, Jenkins, AWS Lambda/EC2)
  • Programming: Strong Java, , skills
  • Debugging: "What-if" troubleshooting in web apps with Selenium type of web automation frameworks at large scale
  • System Knowledge: E2E understanding of microservices architecture (like ALM complexity) for targeting automation test execution.

GenAI – Exposure to GenAI tools such as Cursor or CoPilot to enhance productivity & streamlining the complete test automation process is a big plus.
