Role Description

The Copywriting Intern at Obliq Design will be an integral member of our creative team, primarily focused on developing strategic, high-quality written content for our diverse client portfolio. This role offers hands-on experience in translating client branding goals into compelling digital and product copy. The intern will receive mentorship while contributing directly to client deliverables across various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Client Content Generation:
    Write and edit clear, persuasive, and error-free copy for a range of client needs, including website content, landing pages, digital marketing campaigns, and case studies.
  • Brand Voice Development:
    Assist in researching, documenting, and applying client-specific brand voice and tone guidelines to ensure consistency across all written materials.
  • UX Writing:
    Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to craft concise and effective microcopy (e.g., button labels, error messages, tooltips) that improves user experience within client applications and interfaces.
  • Strategy & Research:
    Conduct competitive analysis and audience research to inform messaging strategies and ensure content is relevant and impactful.
  • Collaboration:
    Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, working closely with Strategists, Designers, and Project Managers to integrate copy seamlessly with design and project goals.
  • Editing & Proofreading:
    Rigorously proofread all assigned content for grammar, syntax, clarity, and factual accuracy prior to internal review.

Skills:

  • Proven ability to research complex topics and distill information into simple, engaging copy.
  • Familiarity with foundational principles of content strategy and/or SEO is highly desirable.
  • Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines in a project-driven environment.
