Job Description:

Lenskart is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist for our Quality department in Bhiwadi manufacturing facility. The role is integral to our production process, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained from raw materials through to final fitted products. This position requires a candidate who is experienced in quality control, has a strong understanding of manufacturing excellence, and is capable of driving results to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Inspection:

  • Oversee and execute quality checks on frames and lenses at every stage of the cutting and fitting process.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure alignment with quality standards, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Implement protocols for random sampling, batch inspection, and first-off/last-off checks for each production shift.

2. Production Monitoring:

  • Collaborate with the production team to monitor daily production output and meet daily targets while adhering to quality standards.
  • Track production line performance and address bottlenecks, deviations, or issues impacting quality and efficiency.
  • Report and document discrepancies and variations to ensure continuous improvements in production.

3. Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:

  • Identify recurring quality issues in the cutting and fitting process, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate quality issues, ensuring zero-defect manufacturing.
  • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment used in the cutting and fitting process is calibrated and functioning optimally.

4. Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality control checks, production reports, and deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, to be shared with senior management.

5. Process Improvement and Optimization:

  • Drive initiatives for continuous process improvement and efficiency gains in the cutting and fitting department.
  • Recommend enhancements to the existing QC processes, focusing on waste reduction, production consistency, and cycle-time optimization.
  • Train and mentor production operators on quality control standards and best practices in the cutting and fitting process.

6. Communication and Team Collaboration:

  • Act as the liaison between quality assurance, production, and engineering departments to ensure alignment on production goals and quality expectations.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to discuss quality-related concerns, feedback, and action items.
  • Participate in training sessions, quality audits, and cross-functional projects to advance overall manufacturing excellence.
