The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist will be responsible for cash application, collection of outstanding payments, Credit management and reconciliation of customer accounts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing a high volume of transactions while maintaining positive customer relationships. The AR Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the company by optimizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt.

Required Education and Experience

• 4+ years AR collection experience

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to customer accounts.

2. Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank statements.

3. Proactively contact customers regarding overdue payments via phone, email, and mail.

4. Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing disputes in a professional and effective manner.

5. Maintain detailed records of all collection activities and communication.

6. Escalate uncollectible accounts to management as necessary.

7. Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

8. Prepare and analyse aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts

9. Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments in a prompt and courteous manner.

10. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other internal departments to resolve customer issues.

11. Assist in the preparation of various AR reports, including aging summaries, collection forecasts, and bad debt analysis

12. Identify and suggest improvements to AR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with NetSuite would be preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Word etc.)

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail required.
