About the Role

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer to work with us on an hourly basis. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and security. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code.
  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications.
  • Maintain and improve existing websites and applications.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure security, data protection, and code quality standards.
  • Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in PHP development.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or similar).
  • Proficiency in MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or Magento (a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Compensation

  • Engagement will be on an hourly basis.
  • Rates to be discussed based on skills and experience.
