About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Financial Data Analyst/BI Specialist t o drive our financial reporting and process efficiency. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data manipulation (SQL, Python/Pandas), proficient in BI tools (QlikView), and possess a strong understanding of financial reporting principles. This role is critical for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reports, and for automating key data processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting & Dashboard Delivery
  • Design and deliver high-impact financial dashboards and reports using QlikView to meet business requirements
  • Provide recommendations and analytical insights to the finance team and stakeholders based on reporting data
  • Manage the full lifecycle of reporting, including gathering requirements, development, testing, and deployment
  • Lead the implementation of functionality changes and enhancements to existing reports and dashboards
2. Data Management & Validation
  • Utilize Advanced SQL to query, extract, and transform large, complex financial datasets from source systems
  • Employ Python and Pandas for advanced data manipulation, aggregation, reconciliation, and complex financial calculations
  • Rigorously validate the accuracy and integrity of new and modified reports against source data and financial standards
  • Ensure all reports comply with financial reporting understanding and established accounting principles
3. Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and execute initiatives for process automation across the financial reporting workflow
  • Develop and maintain scripts (primarily using Python ) to automate routine data extraction, transformation, and validation tasks
Required Skills

  1. Data & Programming

  2. Advanced SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning)

  3. Expertise in Python with the Pandas library for data analysis and manipulation

  4. Business Intelligence

  5. Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with QlikView (dashboard design, scripting, maintenance).

  6. Domain Knowledge

  9. Quick in grasping the requirements a nd translating them into technical specifications and actionable insights

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
