Name of Project: Development of Infra-Red (IR) detector using a heterojunction of graphene with SiNWs on Si chip for Night Vision Devices

Sponsoring Agency: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)

Duration of the Position: 3 Years or up to the termination of the project, subject to Annual Performance Review

Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- HRA @27 PERCENT (Total: Rs. 46,990/-) per month

Essential Qualifications:

  • First class in M.Sc. (Physics / Chemistry / Nanotechnology / Material Science) / M.Tech. (Nanotechnology / Material Science), minimum 60 PERCENT marks (or equivalent CGPA) with GATE / CSIR - NET or equivalent examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates with the expertise in the synthesis of nanomaterials and their composites for Infrared sensing applications, characterization of nanoparticles and their composites will be preferred.
  • Candidates having 1-2 years of Research Experience in the Research Laboratory or Industry is preferred.

Age Limit: 28 Years (relaxation for 5 years for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped / Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI norms.
