Chemical Engineer

Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Department: Quality / Laboratory / Biomedical (as applicable)

Location: Almas Hospital, Kottakkal

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the use, storage, and disposal of chemicals across hospital departments.
• Conduct quality analysis and process audits to ensure compliance with NABH and pollution control standards.
• Assist in calibration, testing, and validation of chemical processes and reagents used in laboratories and sterilization units.
• Develop and update safety protocols for chemical handling and waste management.
• Support biomedical and maintenance teams in water treatment, gas systems, and other chemical-related utilities.
• Maintain documentation for chemical inventory, MSDS records, and statutory compliance.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental training programs.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or laboratory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of safety standards, chemical storage, and waste management systems.

Skills Required:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with quality and environmental compliance standards.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and documentation practices.
