SR PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER

Coordinates and monitors project and support teams to ensure timely implementation of organizational projects.

Job Requirements

• Evaluating project engineering designs and tracking project completion within budget and scheduling constraints.
• Reviewing reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address execution problems.
• Participating in the development of project schedules, work plans, technical estimates, and design documents.
• Monitoring project health, safety and integrity through compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Sustaining Engineering projects following the Sustaining Engineering processes, with a focus on managing Value Engineering, Transfer & Change projects in Serial Life (post Start of Production).
• Maintain project data in TE Project to achieve Industrial Business Unit data integrity goals.
• Ensure project progress and deliverables are achieved across all business functions to ensure compliance with Stage Gate process.
• Work with global project core teams to develop a project schedule and drive the project to meet that schedule.
• Work with the global project core teams to develop a project budget and drive the project to meet that budget.
• Work with Industrial Engineering to develop project P&Ls (Profit and Loss Calculations) and Budgetary Appropriation Requests to support capital expenditures.
• Update/communicate status of projects to Project Approval Committee (PAC).
• Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to make sure committed New Product Sales (NPS) are achieved, committed cost savings are recorded and delivered upon.
• Contribute to or lead overall continuous improvement initiatives to address systemic issues in the new product development process.

Key Companies

• Engineering degree, preferably additional business administration background.
• Ability to manage global project teams with key functions in multiple regions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience in requirements evaluation, scheduling, and solving resource issues.
• Proven leadership in a matrix organization, able to lead by influence without authority.
• Integrative thinking and analytical skills.
