Cloud Migration EngineerJOB PURPOSE AND IMPACTWe are seeking a senior technical expert withdeep Windows engineering experience to support application teams as theymigrate diverse Windows -based workloads (including homegrown applications,commercial off -the -shelf (COTS) products, and legacy services) into modernAWS -hosted environments. As a Cloud Migration Engineer, you will play acritical role in developing test plans, validating application behavior in newenvironments, externalizing configuration, troubleshooting migration issues,and teaching teams how to operate successfully in their target cloudenvironment.You will work directly with engineering andproduct teams to clarify dependencies, modernize operational practices, andreduce risk through structured testing and deep technical guidance. Your workensures that migrated applications are reliable, supportable, and aligned withenterprise standards.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES·       Develop andexecute detailed test plans forWindows -based workloads including: COTS applications, IIS/.NET services,Windows services, scheduled tasks, and SQL -connected systems. Validatefunctionality, configuration, networking, authentication, and performance inthe target AWS environment.·       Lead hands -onmigration execution, assistingteams with installation validation, connectivity testing, functional smoketests, configuration extraction, externalizing environment -specific settings,and resolving issues involving registry keys, service identities, permissions,certificate stores, firewall rules, DNS, authentication, and other Windowsplatform dependencies.·       Teach, coach,and support application teams by explaining root causes, guiding them through remediating environmentdifferences, helping redesign configuration models to be portable, andmentoring teams in operational best practices, troubleshooting techniques, andcloud -aligned patterns.·       Improvemigration consistency by creating scripts, runbooks, and repeatable validationsteps for common Windows issues such as missing dependencies, blocked ports,legacy configuration paths, local account usage, registry drift, andenvironment inconsistencies.·       Collaboratecross -functionally with infrastructure, security, and network teams to alignmigration prerequisites, resolve cross -cutting issues, and help standardizepractices for identity, logging, monitoring, access, and AMI lifecycle.·       Independentlyhandle complex technical issues with minimal supervision, while escalating onlythe most complex or systemic issues to specialized teams.·       Other dutiesas assigned.  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS·       Bachelor'sdegree in a related field or equivalent experience·       Confirmedexperience troubleshooting Windows Server environments, including applicationservices, configuration management, SQL connectivity, certificate stores, andActive Directory integration·       Demonstratedexperience supporting cloud -hosted Windows workloads (AWS, Azure, or similar)·       Practicalexperience diagnosing network issues such as firewall rules, security groups,DNS, routing, and port -level connectivity·       Minimum offour years of related work experience·       Other minimumqualifications may apply  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS·       Experiencemigrating COTS applications to AWS, including handling installers,licensing models, vendor -defined configuration, and environment prerequisites·       Strongproficiency with Windows diagnostic tools (Event Viewer, PerfMon, ResourceMonitor, Services MMC, Registry Editor, IIS Manager when applicable) andnetwork troubleshooting tools (netsh, Test -NetConnection, nslookup, PowerShellnetworking utilities)·       Experienceanalyzing AWS networking constructs to resolve connectivity and hybridnetworking issues·       Experienceestablishing effective monitoring, logging, and observability practices tosupport post -migration reliability·       Ability tocoach application teams through dependency mapping, configurationexternalization, troubleshooting exercises, and reducing machine -specificbehavior·       Familiaritywith PowerShell for automation, diagnostics, and configuration extraction·       Experienceresolving common migration blockers such as hardcoded paths, installerprerequisites, registry -only configuration models, licensing constraints,legacy authentication challenges, and complex service dependencies
