Position Overview:

The Land Acquisition team plays a critical role in securing suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, Hybrid, BESS). The role ranges from
on-ground execution (Executive/Manager)
to
strategic oversight (Senior Manager/GM)
. Responsibilities will include land identification, due diligence, stakeholder management, negotiations, legal compliance, and documentation. At senior levels, the role expands to team leadership, budget oversight, policy development, and strategic engagement with government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Land Identification & Feasibility

• Identify, map, and evaluate land parcels for renewable energy projects.
• Conduct feasibility analysis for Solar/Wind/Hybrid sites.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams for surveys, layout design, and project compatibility.

Legal & Documentation

• Collect, review, and verify land ownership/title documents.
• Coordinate with legal teams for NOCs, clearances, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with land laws, acquisition acts, and regulatory norms.
• Support contract structuring and agreements with landowners.

Stakeholder Management & Liaison

• Engage with landowners, aggregators, brokers, sarpanches, talatis, community leaders, and MLAs.
• Build rapport with revenue officials: Collectorate, SDM/Prant, Mamlatdar, DILR, Forest, and Sub-Registrar offices.
• Represent the company during community consultations and official inspections.

Survey & Technical Coordination

• Conduct land surveys using GPS, D-GPS, Total Station, etc.
• Supervise demarcation, boundary marking, and RoW clearance.
• Work with government officials for site inspection and approvals.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure timely acquisition of approvals and permits.
• Mitigate risks related to RoW disputes, title issues, and community resistance.
• Ensure adherence to ESG, legal, and corporate compliance norms.

Team, Budget & Reporting (for Manager–GM levels)

• Manage on-ground field executives and land contractors.
• Prepare and monitor land budgets and project acquisition costs.
• Provide MIS reports, progress updates, and presentations to senior management.
• Drive process improvements, digitization, and transparency in LA activities.

Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities (GM level)

• Design land acquisition strategies and frameworks for multi-state expansion.
• Lead negotiations on high-value land deals (>500 acres).
• Establish long-term relationships with senior government officials and regulators.
• Align land policies with company growth targets (multi-GW RE portfolio).
• Mentor, train, and lead a large team (15–50+ members) across regions.

The role is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and corporate governance in all project dealings, ensuring strict alignment with the company's compliance framework and zero tolerance for conflicts of interest adherence to the Policies, codes such as Supply, Anti Bribery and ESG.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline (LLB will be a plus).
• Experience range:
• Executive/Senior Executive
  : 2–5 years in land acquisition/liaison.
• Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Manager/Sr. Manager
  : 6–15 years with proven multi-acre acquisition track record.
• AGM/DGM/GM
  : 15–25 years with leadership of large-scale land portfolios (800–1000+ acres) in RE/Infra.
• Strong knowledge of land laws, NA process, revenue procedures, and government notifications.
• Proven success in dealing with revenue authorities, Collectorates, and Gram Panchayats.
• Languages
  : Fluent Gujarati & English (mandatory); Hindi is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively
  across project sites.
