Cognizant is looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium with Java and hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications.

RTO - Hybrid

Interview - Final Round will be F2F

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
  • Design and implement API test automation frameworks using Rest Assured.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with developers and QA teams to identify test scenarios and improve test coverage.
  • Debug, analyze, and report test failures, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain documentation and continuously enhance automation practices and standards.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
  • Proficiency in API testing using Rest Assured.
  • Sound understanding of TestNG, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to BDD tools like Cucumber.
  • Experience with performance testing or mobile automation.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Postman.
