Role description:

This role is part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000 talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis offices globally. The GEC brings key capabilities and capacity to support our clients seamlessly around the world. Role accountabilities:
  • You take ownership and guarantee the quality of the software
  • You work closely with the product owner, other developers and testers
  • As team member you are actively involved with preparation of new stories, refinements, planning and design meetings
  • You can work independently but also in pair-programming
  • You develop in line with the clean code and clean architecture principles
  • You are inclined to always help the tester
  • You build it, you run it is your rule-of-thought.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Completed HBO- or WO- level education or equivalent
  • Experience with several elements of our software stack: Java11 (soon to be upgraded), Jenkins, Sonar, Kubernetes, Docker, Mongo, KeyCloak, OSGi and various Spring frameworks
  • Good competency in the Dutch language
  • Demonstrably a minimum of 6 years experience programming in Java preferably over several projects
  • Knowledge of web services (REST), bootstrap and github are a prerequisite
  • Knowledge of the railway domain (prerequisite).
