Job Description: Hub Manager

The Hub Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a logistics hub, ensuring efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining service quality, and driving operational excellence. This role demands strong leadership, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination to meet service level agreements (SLAs), cost targets, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight

  • Manage all hub activities including receiving, sorting, dispatching, and inventory control.

  • Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods across the network.

  • Team Leadership

  • Supervise hub staff including supervisors, handlers, and drivers.

  • Conduct training, performance reviews, and enforce discipline.

  • Process Compliance

  • Implement and monitor SOPs for handling, safety, and documentation.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards.

  • Performance Monitoring

  • Track KPIs such as TAT, load factor, damage rate, and delivery accuracy.

  • Generate daily/weekly reports for management review.

  • Vendor & Fleet Coordination

  • Liaise with transporters, third-party vendors, and fleet operators.

  • Ensure vehicle availability, route planning, and cost optimization.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Resolve service issues, delays, and escalations.

  • Coordinate with customer service and sales teams for smooth operations.

  • Technology & MIS

  • Use TMS/WMS systems for tracking, reporting, and exception handling.

  • Maintain dashboard-ready data for CXO-level visibility.
