Role Overview
The Business Development Team Lead is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a team of Business Development Executives. This role combines hands-on business development with leadership, coaching, and performance management to ensure the team consistently meets sales targets and contributes to the company's expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve growth and revenue objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and mentor the Business Development team to achieve individual and team KPIs.
Provide coaching, training, and continuous performance feedback.
Coordinate team activities, set priorities, and allocate business leads effectively.
Conduct regular team meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.
Sales & Pipeline Management
Oversee and manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
Track team performance and maintain an organized sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards.
Collaborate with Marketing to enhance lead quality and support the sales funnel.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to align strategies.

Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and negotiation processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master's preferred).
4–7+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
1–3+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
