We are seeking an accomplished Director of Engineering with extensive experience in Flash technologies, Quality Assurance leadership, and enterprise Storage systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strategic engineering direction, and proven experience managing large-scale hardware/software engineering teams. This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving innovation, ensuring engineering excellence, and building world-class storage solutions that deliver high performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Lead, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary engineering teams focused on Flash, SSD firmware, system software, QA automation, validation, and storage solutions.
  • Define long-term engineering strategy, technology roadmap, and product architecture with a focus on competitive advantages and emerging industry trends.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, engineering rigor, continuous improvement, and strong product quality.
• Technical Execution
  • Oversee development of next-generation Flash-based storage systems, including firmware, controllers, caching, wear leveling, performance optimization, and data reliability algorithms.
  • Drive end-to-end engineering processes—from concept, design, and prototyping to production and lifecycle enhancements.
  • Lead QA strategy for automated scalability, performance benchmarking, integration testing, and field reliability across diverse hardware and software environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and hardware teams to translate market needs into robust engineering solutions.
• Quality & Delivery
  • Establish engineering KPIs, quality standards, and review mechanisms ensuring alignment with performance and reliability benchmarks.
  • Ensure products meet enterprise-grade certification, compliance, durability, and fault tolerance requirements.
  • Implement and enhance QA frameworks, automation, validation pipelines, and CI/CD strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with executive leadership, product management, and customer engineering teams to shape business strategy and technology priorities.
  • Participate in customer and partner engagements to represent engineering direction, solution architecture, and long-term roadmap commitment.
  • Manage resource planning, budget optimization, vendor partnerships, and global engineering coordination.

• 20–30 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 7–10 years in senior leadership roles.
• Expertise in Flash memory technologies, storage architecture, NAND/SSD firmware, caching, data protection, NVMe, PCIe protocols, file systems, object/block storage, and error correction.
• Strong background in Quality Assurance methodologies, automation frameworks, hardware/software validation strategies, and product lifecycle testing.
• Proven success managing engineering teams delivering high-performance enterprise storage solutions.
• Proficient in engineering processes, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, quality metrics, product release management, and large-scale R&D execution.
• Demonstrated ability to architect highly available, resilient, and scalable storage systems for enterprise customers.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive decision-making skills.

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working with storage OEMs, hyperscalers, or semiconductor companies.
• Track record of launching complex products in high-reliability production environments.
