Learn more at     We are a Series C climate tech startup backed by leading investors, including Shell Ventures, National Grid Partners, G2 Venture Partners, Duke Energy, Edison International, Lightrock, Marubeni, among others.  We have been recognized by Forbes two years in a row as one of "America's Best Startup Employers."  We are also proud to be one of the few climate software companies in Time Magazine's "America's Top GreenTech Companies 2024". Deloitte Technology Fast 500 recently ranked us at No. 12 among San Francisco Bay Area companies, and No. 59 overall in their selection of the top 500 for Join us in Securing TomorrowWhat'll you do: Assess and monitor the health of a large-scale PostgreSQL (Aurora RDS) database (>50 TB).Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, including I/O, memory, and CPU-related issues.Identify and Optimize db bottlenecks, long-running SQL queries, indexes, and schema design.Implement robust Guardrails for observability, monitoring, query control, and DB health.Design data retention and purging policies to reduce storage bloat.Consult with application teams on schema redesign and query optimization.Guide transition and offloading of analytical workloads to OLAP Recommend cost-effective strategies to reduce AWS resource consumption.Collaborate with business analysts and developers to align DB performance with app functionality.What're we looking for12+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration and architecture.Hands-on experience with Amazon Aurora and AWS cost/performance optimization.Proven Expertise in query tuning, indexing strategies, and storage management.Good understanding of geospatial queries, time-series data, and large-scale data processing.Familiarity with S3, Redshift, Snowflake, and Iceberg.Experience managing data-intensive platforms with complex reporting and analytics needs.Knowledge of observability tools, query logging, and alerting systems. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
