We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist with a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that comply with industry regulations and guidelines specific to the pharmaceutical sector in the USA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FDA guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and other regulatory frameworks affecting digital marketing within the pharmaceutical industry.

Role & responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage digital marketing strategies to promote pharmaceutical products in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all marketing materials, campaigns, and digital content comply with U.S. FDA regulations, industry standards, and other relevant healthcare laws (such as HIPAA).
  • Content Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create educational, informative, and compliant digital content for the company's website, social media channels, email campaigns, and other digital platforms.
  • Paid Media Campaigns: Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, social media ads, etc.) for pharmaceutical products, ensuring full compliance with healthcare marketing regulations.
  • SEO & SEM: Oversee SEO and SEM strategies to improve organic search rankings and visibility for pharmaceutical products, while adhering to regulatory restrictions.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign performance, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Audience Targeting: Develop and execute strategies for reaching healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers with relevant, compliant messaging across digital channels.
  • Social Media & Community Engagement: Oversee the management of the company's social media channels, ensuring content is compliant and engaging, while managing the interaction with the online healthcare community.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, regulatory, medical, and product teams to ensure all digital marketing initiatives meet internal and external compliance standards.
  • Stay Updated on Regulations: Keep abreast of the latest digital marketing regulations, trends, and guidelines within the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the company's marketing practices remain up to date.
  • Others : Required to use Time Doctor for time and productivity tracking during the probation period.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, specifically within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HIPAA, and other U.S. healthcare regulations governing pharmaceutical marketing.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Experience with SEO, SEM, Google Ads, paid social media campaigns, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Content Creation: Proven ability to create engaging and compliant digital content for websites, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and marketing automation tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications: Google Ads certification, HubSpot certification, or other digital marketing credentials.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working directly with pharmaceutical brands or healthcare organizations.
  • Creative Mindset: Ability to think creatively while staying within regulatory constraints.
  • Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data to inform marketing decisions.
