In the role of the IT/Network Admin, the person shall report to Head, Digital.Ops and engage in a scope of work spanning Managerial, Administrative and Technical/Engineer levels relating to the broad Key Result Areas (KRAs) covering Device management, Enterprise applications, Enterprise Network and Connectivity, Technical Operations & General Administration.

Position & Designation

Grade - AssociateIT/Network Admin designated in Forge at the grade of Associate is responsible for setting end-to-end operations for defining Network Architecture & capacity planning, vendor selection/management, commercial procurement to implementation and maintenance of the network covers all the aspects of managerial, administrative and technical/engineering responsibilities deputed in the centre.

Role & Responsibilities - Key Result Areas

• Digital - User Devices
• Provisioning user desktops ranging from laptops (Macs & PCs), desktops (Macs & PCs) and lab workstations and maintaining the log of assets mapped for current employees and asset planning/allocating for future recruits by the company;
• Provisioning and maintenance for all shared multimedia/AV devices and accessories in the office premises;
• Coordinating with the vendors for onsite/remote mode periodic maintenance, repairs, replacements, spares etc;
• Supporting with detailed technical specifications and competitive evaluation of quotations from vendors;

• Responsible for vendor selection, commercial negotiation and other procedures involved in procurement;

• Enterprise Application

• Google apps suite - overall domain administration and end-to-end provisioning and maintenance of all apps used by different user profiles in the company;

• Installation, provisioning and maintenance of other enterprise apps deployed in the company;
• Responsible for managing all technical and vendor coordination required for hosting all websites owned/operated by the company;
• Responsible for the end-to-end technical areas/activities as required for the development/deployment/operations of digital portals or tools by any of the verticals or programs coming under Forge.Academy or Forge.Ventures;

3. Enterprise Network & Connectivity

3A. Setting up new sites

• Coordinating with vendors in network design, capacity planning, HW/SW requirements & technical specifications;
• Responsible for Installation and Commissioning of end-to-end network with ISP and WiFi/Ethernet LAN;
• Responsible for ISP selection, technical evaluation, commercial negotiation and other procedures involved in procurement;

3B. Managing sites

• Monitoring network performance and coordinating with ISP for bandwidth allocation/utilisation;
• Managing end-to-end all the provisioning and configuration required for network admin and user/device (endpoint) access;
• Coordinating with the infra vendors (HW & SW) for onsite/remote mode periodic maintenance, repairs, replacements, spares etc;
• Responsible for network connectivity issues and resolving any wireless communication issues within the confines of the office.

3C. Technical capabilities

• Understanding of the hardware infrastructure, DNS (domain name system), routers, firewall systems, and cloud computing applications;
• Maintenance/Installation of firewall and security systems to maintain the safety from cyberattacks or third parties accessing confidential information of the company;
• Maintaining the database of the all the information of the network system for the parties of clients, stakeholders, managers and employees;
• Undertaking timely updates for quality checks on the network and enforcing policies for effective and efficient working of the systems;

Eligibility:

• Minimum Diploma/bachelor's qualification (B.E) in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant studies
• 2-4 years of experience in managing all the aspects of IT infrastructure in a given organization
• Hands-on experience with network switches and router systems
• Hands-on experience in working with IT asset management software
• Understanding IT architecture to design a better, and more efficient network infrastructure for the company is highly preferred
• Network hardware configuration and LAN knowledge
• Network troubleshooting and management experience
• The ability to lead and delegate to other engineers and technicians is required
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required
