ELECTRICAL MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

An Electrical Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating electrical projects from conception to completion. This position requires a blend of strong technical expertise in electrical systems and proven project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Manage the execution of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to the project plan and specifications.

Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and external partners.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and electrical codes throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.

Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures where feasible. Ensure financial objectives are achieved while maintaining quality standards.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and success.

Client and PMC Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and PMC to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure their needs are met.

Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure electrical installations and systems meet established standards and specifications.

Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and guidance to the project team, resolving technical issues that may arise during the project. Stay abreast of the latest electrical engineering principles, codes, and technologies.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, technical specifications, and reports. Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.

RA Bill Certification: Preparing the Running Bills with proper documentation, certification from PMC/Client will be manager's responsibility.

Qualifications.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager in electrical industry.

Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.

In-depth knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are desirable.
