Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data engineers to build and maintain data pipelines and data platforms to support business applications and analytics initiatives
  • Design scalable and robust data architectures and engineering best practices to ensure high performance, availability and security of data systems
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand data needs, define specifications and deliverables for data engineering projects
  • Implement data integration, transformation and quality processes to profile, cleanse and standardize data from various sources
  • Develop and operationalize data products such as dashboards, reports and APIs to enable self-service analytics and insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a quantitative discipline with at least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with data engineering technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, data warehousing tools and cloud platforms
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing projects from conception to completion
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
