Role Description

The 
Senior QA & NPD Executive

will play a critical role in ensuring end-to-end product quality and driving innovation within the electrical switches division. This role involves leading QA operations, managing BIS compliance, overseeing new product development, and supporting production teams to improve efficiency and reduce defects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics) from a recognized institution.
  • 7–10 years of proven experience in QA/Production within a reputed electrical manufacturing organization.
  • Strong expertise in electrical switches, accessories, and related product categories.
  • Hands-on experience with TQM, quality tools, BIS standards, and QA documentation.
  • Ability to lead teams, conduct training sessions, and manage cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills, decision-making ability, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Lead complete QA operations from raw materials to finished goods for all categories of electrical switches and accessories.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing, material inspection, and TQM-based quality control processes.
  • Implement and monitor QA systems, SOPs, and quality standards across production lines.
  • Ensure product compliance with BIS standards and coordinate testing using in-house laboratories and equipment.
  • Perform packaging checks, product standardization, and documentation of test reports.

New Product Development (NPD)

  • Drive NPD initiatives for new electrical switch models and related product categories.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and vendor development teams to create prototypes and finalize specifications.
  • Evaluate and onboard new vendors by conducting audits and ensuring quality capability.
  • Provide inputs for tooling, material selection, performance requirements, and quality parameters.

Product Support & Leadership

  • Guide and train production-floor staff on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and best practices.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to reduce defects and improve process efficiency.
  • Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and initiate corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure timely resolutions for product deviations, customer complaints, and internal quality issues.
