Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience to join our QA team. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans.
  • Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications to identify defects and ensure application functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Report and track bugs using issue tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
  • Work closely with the development and product teams to ensure issues are resolved and verified.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of basic automated test scripts (if applicable).
  • Conduct regression testing, smoke testing, and integration testing as part of release cycles.
  • Document test results and provide input for test summary reports.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles.
  • Good understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing.
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter) is a plus.
  • Experience with test case and bug tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications (optional but a plus).
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a bonus.
