They develop recruitment strategies, post job descriptions, conduct background checks, negotiate offers, and build relationships with nursing schools and professional organizations to ensure a consistent pipeline of talent, while also acting as a liaison between candidates and the hospital. Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing: Utilize various channels like job boards, professional networks, social media, and career fairs to find qualified nurses.
  • Screening: Review resumes, applications, and conduct initial phone screenings to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Interviewing: Coordinate and conduct interviews with candidates and hiring managers to evaluate qualifications.
  • Candidate Management: Manage the entire candidate experience from initial contact to offer extension and onboarding, maintaining records in an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with nursing managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective strategies.
  • Compliance & Verification: Conduct thorough background and reference checks, verifying licenses and credentials.
  • Offer & Onboarding: Negotiate employment contracts and salaries, extend offers, and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Strategy & Branding: Support the development of recruitment strategies, promote employer branding, and build relationships with nursing schools.

Essential Skills

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, time, and recruitment data.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ATS and other HR software.
  • Networking: Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare trends, regulations, and nursing best practices is beneficial.

Qualifications (Typical)

  • Masters 's degree in Human Resources, , or a related field.
