Nursing Superintendent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Superintendent to oversee and manage the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare standards. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, maintain discipline, and coordinate nursing services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all nursing staff in the hospital.
• Ensure implementation of hospital policies and nursing standards.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate nursing operations and activities.
• Monitor patient care quality and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain proper staffing levels and prepare duty rosters.
• Handle training, orientation, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with doctors and other departments for smooth patient care.
• Maintain medical records and ensure proper documentation.
• Manage nursing supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Handle grievances and maintain a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8–10 years of nursing experience
• Registered Nurse with a valid license.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, NABH standards, and infection control practices.
