						The Mess Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals for staff or guests in the mess area. The role involves ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, managing ingredients, and providing timely meal service as per the menu and schedule.
- Prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as per menu plans.
- Maintain proper taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow standard recipes and cooking techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, utensils, and cooking areas.
- Ensure all food items are stored safely and properly labeled.
- Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Check daily stock levels of ingredients.
- Inform the store or purchase department about shortages or requirements.
- Avoid wastage of food and raw materials.
- Work with kitchen helpers and stewards to ensure smooth operation.
- Coordinate meal timing with staff schedules.
- Report to the Head Cook / Executive Chef / Mess In-charge.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working condition.
- Report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Follow all fire and safety procedures in the kitchen.
- Serve food courteously and efficiently.
- Address feedback or complaints politely.
- Ensure meals are served on time every day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹28,000.00 per month
