Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager Production from the food industry with strong expertise in production planning and coordination. The role involves overseeing the complete production process, managing supplier and manufacturer communication, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, tracking production progress, and achieving high-quality output within deadlines

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, implement, and monitor production plans to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
  • Supplier & Manufacturer Coordination: Maintain effective communication with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted raw material supply and production flow.
  • Production Oversight: Supervise daily production activities, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Tracking & Monitoring: Monitor production performance, track progress against targets, and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Raw Material Management: Oversee planning, availability, and usage of raw materials to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare accurate production reports, MIS, and dashboards for management review.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve production issues including delays, shortages, and process deviations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams.

Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity

Qualifications & Skills

  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Production, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, raw material planning, and supply chain coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production planning tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and result- oriented approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Certifications in Production Planning / Supply Chain Management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP systems (preferred but not mandatory).
  • The candidate must be willing to travel to factory locations as and when required
