We are looking for a highly motivated
DevOps Engineer
to join our growing technology team. As a DevOps Engineer at NXGEN, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration, high availability, and fast, reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Automate deployment processes and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to define infrastructure requirements and support development environments.
  • Enhance system security through automation and proactive measures (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secrets management).
  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Maintain documentation and best practices for DevOps processes and infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably AWS, but others acceptable).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, etc.)
  • Experience in microservices architecture and service mesh tools (e.g., Istio).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in DevOps.
