Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat for an Engineer/Senior Engineer - NDT (Non-Destructive Testing). The role involves conducting NDT inspections, preparing and reviewing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The professional will develop testing processes, maintain testing equipment, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to identify and address structural concerns. They are also responsible for continuous improvement in testing methodologies and ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methodologies such as UT, RT, PT, MT, and VT, along with relevant certifications (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent).
  • Experience with composite materials, including carbon and glass fibers, and understanding of autoclave and oven curing processes.
  • Proficiency in preparing and interpreting testing reports, documentation, and compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100D standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to use specialized testing equipment and tools, with a focus on calibration and maintenance of such devices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, with prior experience in NDT for composites being a significant advantage.
