Scheduling Manager

Our client is a leading Steel Reinforcement Suppliers and manufacturer based in Sydney, Australia.

With over 30 years experience we specialise in the supply of Concrete Reinforcing Mesh, Reinforcement Bar – Rebar, Expansion Joints, Formwork, and associated Accessories

Our client is considering Expression of Interests from highly experienced individuals to work offshore from India.

The candidates must work in line with the Australian Eastern Standard timezone, between the hours of 7am to 5pm.

The Role

• Provide efficient and accurate reinforcing bar bending schedules that meet customer satisfaction and project requirements.

• Interpret and comprehend construction drawings to produce bar list for manufacturing of reinforced steel.

• Produce marking plans for placement of reinforced steel on constructions sites.

• Manage and oversee building projects.

Manage & Schedule Construction Projects

• Produce accurate bar list and marking plan for manufacturing and placement of reinforced steel.

• Construct clear and concise RFI as required to maintain accuracy and quality in our schedules.

• Maintain an organised filing system for drawings, schedules, marking plans. RFls and ensure all is updated accordingly.

Communication & Consultation with Client

Communicate and co-ordinate with clients and other third parties to ensure deadlines are met.

• Communicate and co-ordinate internally with production and logistic department to ensure sufficient manufacturing lead time and delivery of reinforced steel in a timely manner.

• Communicate and co-ordinate internally with sales department to maintain or build new rapport with clients and other third parties.

• Advise manufacturing department of any irregular and custom products that require special attention.

• Assist production with manufacturing errors relating to shape codes.

• Inform their manager of any process in which could jeopardise or improve quality and/or safety.

• Maintains continuity or work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management, discovering irregularities, and determining continuing needs.

• Work in an independent and supportive team manner, with the aim of achieving business objectives and business development.

• Report to Top Management on the performance of the QHSE Management System when required; on opportunities for improvement; on change requirements; and on innovations.

• Ensure processes are delivering intended outcomes.

• Ensure the promotion of customer focus.

• Ensure the integrity of the QHSE Management System is maintained.

• Promote WHS awareness and culture that strives for nil LT.I.

• Conducts their work in a safe manner.

• Participates in quality, health, safety and environmental activities such as inspections, investigations, meetings/discussions/toolbox talks and evacuation drills as necessary.

• Conduct activities in a safe, quality assured and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with Reozone's Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management System guidelines, procedures and work instructions.

• Accomplishes department and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

Ideal Profile

• You have at least 3 years experience including solid experience in a similar role working in the Steel reinforcement industry
• Excellent understanding of Architectural, Structural, Civil, Landscape and other types of construction drawings
• Superb attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management and able to work in a high paced environment.
• Extremely organised and able to meet strict deadlines
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills required with the ability to work well with all levels of employees and internal departments in a diverse environment
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience with Scheduling software (aSa preferred)
• You possess strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to set targets, prioritise effectively and make decisions.
