Required Skills & Qualifications:


• 4+ years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations (sea and/or air).


• 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role in a fast-paced, multi-shift operation.


• Proficient in shipment coordination, vendor communications, documentation, and issue resolution.


• Proven leadership presence and decision-making ability under pressure.


• Strong communication skills — fluent in English (spoken & written); additional languages a plus.


• Familiar with global logistics environments and digital freight platforms.

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Shift Manager to lead one of our dynamic operational teams — Export, Booking, or Import — within global freight forwarding operations. In this role, you'll manage critical day-to-day activities, empower your team, and ensure that every shipment is handled with precision and care. This is a high-impact position for a strong leader who thrives in fast-paced, tech-enabled logistics environments.

Operational Functions:


• Lead shift operations for FCL, LCL, and Air shipments, ensuring seamless execution aligned with SOPs and service benchmarks.


• Oversee full shipment lifecycle coordination: booking, pickup, customs, transit, arrival, and delivery.


• Supervise team workflows and KPIs, ensuring optimal productivity and on-time performance.


• Act as the first escalation point for operational challenges, guiding swift resolutions.


• Promote data accuracy and documentation compliance in internal platforms such as BO and Salesforce.


• Monitor communication across the shift, identify gaps, and escalate recurring issues to the Delivery Manager.


• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and forward thinking.

Financial and Accounting Functions:


• Monitor revenue per job and shift to align with departmental profitability goals.


• Manage direct and indirect operational costs while maintaining strong cost-per-job efficiency.


• Track and optimize revenue-to-expense ratios.


• Collaborate with finance to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and closure of shipment files.


• Resolve billing discrepancies and support financial audits through proper documentation and


• compliance adherence.

People Management Functions:


• Supervise daily team operations and ensure performance meets KPIs: timeliness, documentation accuracy, communication quality, and customer satisfaction.


• Design and manage shift schedules to maintain near 24/7 operational coverage.


• Train, coach, and develop team members; identify improvement areas and address performance gaps.


• Handle team escalations or conflicts professionally, reinforcing a performance-driven and collaborative environment.


• Work closely with the Delivery Manager on training programs and process improvement initiatives.
