Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical

· Magento 2.x expert with deep understanding of core tables, EAV model, and custom extension schema.

· Proficient in for migration scripting.

· Expert in MySQL (Magento) and PostgreSQL (Medusa) optimization.

· Hands-on experience with large-scale ETL frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow, AWS Glue, or custom pipelines).

· Skilled in data validation and reconciliation for financial-grade data.

· Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS) for real-time sync of ongoing transactions.

Domain

· Proven experience migrating billions of e-commerce transactions.

· Understanding of multi-store, multi-language, multi-currency setups.

· Experience ensuring PCI DSS compliance during migration.

· Strong grasp of taxation, invoicing, and compliance in multiple regions.

Preferred Background

· 10+ years in enterprise-scale e-commerce platforms.

· 3+ years working with Medusa or other headless commerce platforms.

· Led at least one large-scale migration project involving both active and historical financial transactions.

· Experience in zero-downtime migrations and live transaction syncing.

Soft Skills

· Ability to lead cross-functional teams (DBA, backend, DevOps, QA, finance).

· Detail-oriented with a zero-error mindset for financial data.

· Strong problem-solving skills for unstructured, highly customized legacy systems.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
