Your Role

As Finance Controller, you'll be a cornerstone of Eternal's finance team, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and clarity across our fast-scaling operations. This isn't just about bookkeeping — you'll be building the systems and processes that allow us to scale robotics across global greenhouses with confidence. You'll be answering questions like: How do we ensure financial discipline while growing fast? How do we build reporting processes that work across countries? How do we provide leadership and investors with a transparent view of Eternal's financial health?

You'll have genuine impact and responsibility from day one, touching accounting, reporting, compliance, investor support, and cross-functional collaboration. Think of yourself as the guardian of Eternal's financial foundation, enabling our vision to scale globally.

What You'll DoBuild scalable processes

Help us design and implement controlling and reporting processes that can scale across multiple countries and product lines. From setting up ERP tools to standardizing reconciliations, you'll ensure our finance backbone grows with the company.

Oversee financial operations

Take ownership of core accounting and transaction processes — from accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations to timely monthly closes.

Monitor compliance and controls

Ensure Eternal's operations meet local statutory requirements while building robust internal controls that prevent errors and safeguard assets.

Financial reporting and analysis

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, providing leadership and investors with clear insights into company performance.

Investor and audit support

Collaborate on investor reporting packages, assist with audits, and ensure Eternal meets the highest standards of transparency and reliability.

Collaborate in cross-functional initiatives

Finance at Eternal is a partner function. You'll work directly with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to support strategic and day-to-day decisions.

QualificationsCore Requirements (All Levels)

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; strong foundation in financial reporting and controlling (Professional certifications e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA are a plus)
• Analytical problem solver: You love diving into numbers, spotting risks, and ensuring accuracy
• Exceptionally organized without being rigid: You can close the books on time while staying flexible in a fast-moving startup
• Outstanding communicator: You can translate financial outcomes into a story that leadership and investors understand
• Proactive & mission-driven: You take ownership without being asked and are motivated by Eternal's mission to revolutionize food production
• Comfortable with ambiguity: You thrive in an environment where processes are still being built and the playbook hasn't been written yet

Experience Levels

New Graduate / Entry Level (0–2 years)

• Recent graduate or final-year student in finance, accounting, or business
• Strong academic record and internship or project experience in finance/controlling
• Eagerness to learn and grow while supporting core financial operations

Early Career (2–5 years)

• Professional experience in controlling, audit, or financial reporting
• Comfortable managing reporting cycles, reconciliations, or compliance processes
• Ability to work cross-functionally and provide financial clarity to business teams

Senior Level (5–8 years)

• Proven track record in controlling and financial operations in a scaling company
• Experience leading audits, implementing ERP/financial tools, and building internal controls
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and take ownership of full financial reporting cycles
• Strategic thinker who balances detail orientation with long-term perspective
