Chief Sales Marketing Officer

Our client is one of the leading primary steel producers in India. The role will lead and drive overall sales and marketing strategy across both Primary (TMT bars, steel products) and Secondary (by-products, scrap, allied steel materials) businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales, Marketing & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to drive growth across primary and secondary business segments.
- Identify new markets, channel partners, and business expansion opportunities across geographies. Optimize pricing strategy, demand forecasting, and product mix to maximize profitability.
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns digital, PR, events, sponsorships, and activations to boost brand visibility and consumer engagement.
- Strengthen customer and channel relationships while driving revenue through dealer networks, institutional clients, and government projects.
Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Lead, mentor, and motivate regional sales and marketing teams with defined KPIs and performance-driven goals.
- Ensure efficient coordination between production, logistics, and finance for seamless order execution.
- Oversee revenue realization, credit control, and margin management to maintain financial discipline.
- Drive digital transformation through sales automation, data analytics, and performance insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management from a reputed institute; B.Tech / B.E. preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing within the steel, TMT, or building materials industry, including at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven record of managing large-scale sales operations, dealer/distributor networks, and institutional sales.
