Quality Control Manager (Beverage Industry)

Job Profile:

  • Quality Control Operations
  • Lead QC activities for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process checks, and finished products.
  • Supervise physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of water, syrup, and beverages.
  • Approve/reject materials and finished goods based on QC test results.
  • Implement and monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) in production (syrup room, carbonation, filling, packaging).
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance with BIS, FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and customer specifications.
  • Prepare for and face statutory and customer audits.
  • Maintain all QC-related documentation and ensure traceability.
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage and guide QC Executives, Chemists, and Lab Technicians.
  • Allocate daily testing responsibilities and monitor lab activities.
  • Conduct training for staff on hygiene, food safety, and GMP practices.
  • Problem Solving & Improvements
  • Investigate quality deviations, contamination incidents, or customer complaints.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work with production and maintenance teams to improve process quality and reduce wastage.
  • Supplier & Material Control
  • Coordinate with purchase and stores for incoming RM/PM quality checks.
  • Approve/reject vendors based on quality compliance.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain QC records, lab reports, and batch release documents.
  • Prepare MIS and quality performance dashboards for senior management.
  • Ensure lab equipment calibration and validation schedules are followed.

Reporting To: Quality Head / Plant Head / Director

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, GMP, ISO, BIS, and HACCP systems.
  • Hands-on experience with beverage testing (Brix, acidity, carbonation, microbiology).
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong documentation and audit-handling ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16, ₹65,265.62 per month
