Role & responsibilities

  • Operate and supervise machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to produce components accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and achieve daily/weekly machining targets.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and product quality.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) in machining and production.
  • Minimize scrap, rework, and downtime through process optimization.
  • Coordinate with quality assurance, planning, and fabrication teams for smooth workflow.
  • Maintain production logs, shift reports, and machining records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote safe working practices in the machine shop.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.

  • Certification in CNC / VMC / machining technology will be an added advantage.

  • 510 years of experience in machining or production operations in mechanical manufacturing / heavy engineering.

  • Hands-on experience in CNC, VMC, or conventional machining processes.
  • Prior exposure to mineral processing equipment or large-scale manufacturing preferred.
