Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop generic and innovative formulations in the Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) segment (tablets, capsules, granules, etc.).
  • Conduct pre-formulation and formulation trials, including API characterization, excipient compatibility, and stability studies.
  • Execute lab-scale and exhibit batch manufacturing.
  • Work on scale-up and technology transfer to manufacturing and commercial facilities.
  • Prepare and review documents like formulation development reports (FDR), MFRs, BMRs, and technology transfer documents.
  • Conduct QbD and DoE-based formulation development and optimization.
  • Perform stability studies as per ICH guidelines and monitor product performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Analytical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Production.
  • Support regulatory submissions (ANDA, EU dossiers) with technical data and development reports.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–5 years in OSD formulation development (preferably in a regulated market-focused company).
  • Sound knowledge of formulation processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in working with granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation equipment.
  • Familiarity with ICH guidelines, GMP practices, and regulatory documentation.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
