Gen-AI Developer (Freelance / Full-Time – Work From Home)

Experience Required: Expert-level experience in building Generative AI systems, LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, and custom model training without relying on third-party APIs (or minimal usage only for R&D).

Goal: Develop a fully in-house AI system that works exclusively on ONECONNECTIFY's database and activity ecosystem.

Priority: Cost-effective, scalable, low compute/resource usage, high-performance AI architecture.

Project Overview

ONECONNECTIFY is building India's own Search + AI Execution Engine, designed to provide:

• Reliable, authentic, verified results
• Fast and cost-effective execution of any task
• A governance-improving ecosystem
• A verified single platform for all user types

The Generative AI system will become the core brain of this platform—supporting search, chat, activity execution, user recommendations, governance workflows, and more.

What We Are Building

The Gen-AI developer will build an in-house AI system that:

1. Works fully on ONECONNECTIFY's approved data

• Uses data generated from platform activities
• Access controlled, permission-based
• No dependency on external APIs (except minimal learning/training assistance)

2. Provides Indian-centric Search & AI Solutions

An AI system that:

• Understands Indian users, Indian categories, law forms, business types
• Provides domain-wise solutions for MSMEs, Startups, Students, Professionals, Companies, Trusts, Government, etc.
• Gives reliable and executable guidance, not generic chat responses
• Indexes verified user profiles, skills, services, resources, schemes, documents

3. Recommends instant human helpers

For any task, query, or keyword, system must fetch minimum 4 verified users related to the problem:

• Professionals
• Vendors/Suppliers
• Loan consultants
• Government-scheme supporters
• Relevant service providers based on user type

Example:

A user wants to start a saree shop.

AI must instantly fetch:

• 4 business consultants
• 4 vendors/manufacturers
• 4 MSME loan experts
• 4 bankers
• 4 legal experts
• 4 marketing professionals
• 4 nearby shop property listings
• 4 taxation experts

…based on ranking, relevance, availability, authenticity.

User can immediately:

Core Responsibilities of the Gen-AI Developer

• Build an in-house LLM pipeline (small/medium model tuned for cost efficiency).
• Implement RAG-based architecture over ONECONNECTIFY data.
• Create vector embeddings, indexing, search ranking, and domain categorization.
• Design a multi-user-type conversational system, where AI behaves differently for:
• MSMEs
• Startups
• Professionals
• Students
• Private Companies
• Government
• Trusts
• etc.
• Develop domain-specific prompting, reasoning, and solution generation.
• Build real-time AI suggestions inside:
• Chat
• Events & Activities
• Print Service
• Professional Services
• Books/Notes recommendations
• Business consulting flows
• Live Video call
• Jobs etc
• Build governance workflows for reporting issues (e.g., potholes, broken streetlights).
• Integrate DigiLocker-based verification data for authenticity.
• Ensure zero data duplicacy, privacy compliance, and secure model serving.
• Optimize AI for low compute, low GPU, low infrastructure cost

(quantization, on-device inference if possible, optimized vector DB, caching, etc.).

Required Skill Set

• Strong experience in LLM training/fine-tuning, preferably 7B–13B models.
• Experience with small LLM architectures (Mistral, Llama, Gemma, Qwen, Phi, etc.).
• Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search, and content indexing.
• Ability to build custom pipelines without depending on OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• Knowledge of / Python for backend AI integration.
• Experience with MongoDB, vector stores (Milvus, Chroma, Qdrant, Weaviate).
• Ability to build scalable, secure, cost-efficient inference architecture.
• Familiarity with Indian government schemes, user types, law-form categories (or ability to learn).
• Understanding of how to build AI that provides actionable guidance, not general chat.

Cost Expectations

We prefer developers who can:

• Build low-cost, optimized AI systems
• Use minimal GPU requirements
• Train on smaller models + quantize
• Deploy in cloud or on-prem cost-effectively
• Implement caching and efficient vector retrieval
• Design for massive scale at minimum operational cost

Timeline

• All backend activities must be completed within 40 days, aligned with frontend milestones.
• An additional 5 days are provided for testing, debugging, and deployment (total 45 days).

Payment and Incentive Plan

• Total Project Value: ₹50,000.
• Payment will be milestone-based upon successful testing and deployment.

Incentive and Penalty Terms:

• If all tasks are completed and made live within 45 days (including testing) an additional reward of ₹10,000 will be provided.
• If not completed within the defined period, a penalty of ₹10,000 per activity will apply (net payment ₹10,000 per activity).
• On-time completion with verified security, scalability, and performance will qualify for long-term reward consideration.

Long-Term Reward:

Upon final review and approval of backend quality and scalability,

ONECONNECTIFY will offer a 5% share in net profit (up to ₹1 Crore) to the entire development team, distributed annually for up to 5 years.
