Role & responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements.
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cutting metal components to the appropriate size and shape.
  • Set up welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and regulators.
  • Perform welding activities using the Tig welding process.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when welding.

Requirements

  • ITI, Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Certification in Tig welding techniques.
  • Experience in Tig welding of 2-4 years.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
