Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of BigQuery, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling, along with exposure to core GCP data services such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Dataproc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, BigQuery, and GCP Dataflow.
  • Implement efficient data models, partitioning, and clustering strategies for analytical workloads.
  • Develop and orchestrate workflows using Cloud Composer (Airflow).
  • Build and manage real-time and batch data processing pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into business processes.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data environments.
  • Perform cost optimization and performance tuning for BigQuery and other GCP services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues proactively.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering with strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Composer (Airflow).
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and data architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
  • Experience in data performance optimization and scalable design principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building streaming data pipelines and real-time analytics.
  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Understanding of data lake architectures and hybrid data ecosystems.
  • Basic knowledge of ML pipelines or Vertex AI on GCP is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes / GKE).
