Job Title: Inventory Analyst

Department: Material Management / Supply Chain

Location: Neubaby Stores – Chennai

Reporting To: Operations / Supply Chain Manager

Experience: Fresher

Job Summary:

The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing inventory levels across Neubaby retail outlets and warehouses. The role ensures product availability, minimizes excess stock, and supports smooth store operations through accurate data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement, receipts, transfers, and adjustments in the inventory management system.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, stock discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and store teams for timely replenishment of fast-moving items.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and verify system stock vs. physical stock.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports for management review.
  • Track non-moving and slow-moving inventory; recommend actions for liquidation or redistribution.
  • Support new product listings and SKU setup in the system.
  • Ensure all GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), stock transfers, and adjustments are updated promptly.
  • Collaborate with the accounts and purchase departments for inventory valuation and closing stock reports.
  • Maintain minimum stock levels and safety stock to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and inventory management systems (e.g., Tally, ERP, or similar).
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure during stock audits or month-end closing.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in inventory or stock management, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.

  • Stock turnover ratio
  • Non-moving stock percentage
  • Timeliness of stock reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
