Key Responsibilities:

Credit Evaluation & Approval:

Assess credit applications for secured business loans by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, credit reports, collateral value, and borrower profiles.

Make informed credit decisions within delegated authority or escalate as required.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

Identify potential credit risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, including setting appropriate credit limits, loan covenants, and collateral requirements.

Portfolio Monitoring:

Regularly review and monitor the performance of the secured loan portfolio to identify early signs of deterioration or defaults. Take proactive measures to manage delinquency and recoveries.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with relationship managers, legal, underwriting, and collections teams to streamline credit processes and improve customer experience.

Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare regular credit risk reports and portfolio performance analysis for senior management.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor junior credit analysts or officers to build a strong credit evaluation team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or Credit Risk Certification preferred).

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in credit management, preferably in secured business loans or commercial lending.

Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and loan underwriting.

Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards related to secured lending.

Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in credit risk management software and MS Office applications.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
