Primary Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of large-scale construction projects from the planning stage through completion, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, budgetary constraints, and safety regulations.

1. Project Management & Leadership -

  • Execution Leadership: Lead site teams and contractors, overseeing all civil works activities across multiple project components (buildings and infra).
  • Budget & Time Management: Monitor project progress against established schedules (MS Project/Primavera) and budgets, identifying potential delays or cost overruns and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Establish and maintain rigorous quality control procedures for all materials, structural elements, and finishing works. Conduct frequent site audits and inspections.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed progress reports, budget updates, and technical documentation for senior management.

2. Technical Execution Expertise -

A. Building Construction (RCC & High-Rise Towers)

  • Structural Oversight: Supervise the construction of Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structures, ensuring precise execution of formwork, reinforcement bar bending schedules (BBS), and high-quality concrete pouring.
  • Vertical Construction: Deeply experienced in managing the complexities of high-rise/tower construction, including safety protocols, vertical material transportation, and slip-form/jump-form techniques where applicable.
  • Finishing & Handover: Oversee the structural completion of Residential or Commercial buildings, ensuring smooth transition to MEP and finishing teams.

B. Infrastructure & Road Work

  • Infra Development: Manage the planning and execution of all on-site and off-site infrastructure work, including storm-water drainage, water supply networks, sewage treatment plants (STP), and utility trenching.
  • Road Construction: Expertise in managing the construction of various road types (e.g., rigid Pavements/Concrete Roads, flexible Pavements/Bituminous Roads), ensuring compliance with specifications for sub-grade preparation, GSB, WMM, and wearing courses.
  • Utilities Coordination: Coordinate with local authorities and utility providers for seamless integration of external services.

Key Requirements

  • Experience Level - Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience as a Civil Engineer or Site Manager in the Real Estate/Construction industry.
  • Domain Expertise - Mandatory Proven Experience in managing projects incorporating Infra work, Road work, and multi-story RCC Residential/Commercial building construction.
  • Education - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required. A Master's degree or certification in Construction Management is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills - Proficient in construction management software (Primavera/MS Project), AutoCAD, and quantity surveying/estimation.
