We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM DataStage and Oracle.
  • Build optimized data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to support business and analytics requirements.
  • Write efficient Unix shell scripts and Python automation scripts for scheduling, data manipulation, and validation.
  • Work with Control-M for job scheduling, batch execution, monitoring, and incident handling.
  • Integrate ETL components with Microservices-based systems or REST APIs for data exchange.
  • Provide production support and root-cause analysis, including potential weekend/on-call support.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues in ETL pipelines, database queries, and scheduling jobs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, and DBAs for requirement understanding and delivery.
  • Prepare design documents, technical specifications, and deployment plans.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with governance and security standards.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (parallel jobs, sequences, error handling, tuning).
  • Advanced SQL, PL/SQL skills using Oracle databases.
  • Python scripting for automation, data processing, and validation tasks.
  • Unix/Linux shell scripting, cron jobs, log analysis, and system debugging.
  • Experience with Control-M for batch job orchestration and monitoring.
  • Exposure to Microservices / REST integrations for data ingestion or distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle production outages or data failures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD, Github
