Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement integration architectures that leverage APIs, microservices, and enterprise service buses (ESB).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain integration frameworks and standards that promote best practices and facilitate efficient integration across the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend integration tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance integration capabilities and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on integration practices, patterns, and tools.
• Conduct system assessments to identify integration challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to integration solutions.
• Ensure the security and compliance of integration solutions, adhering to data governance policies.

Requirements

Core Technical Skills

1. IBM ITX (Transformation Extender) Expertise

2. Design, develop, and debug ITX maps (formerly WebSphere TX, Mercator)

3. Use of Type Trees, Maps, and Schemas

4. Strong experience with DataStage TX, Launcher, Command Server, and Adapters

5. Integration Architecture

6. Design end-to-end integration flows across heterogeneous systems

7. Expertise in SOA, ESB, API-led integration, and event-driven architecture

8. Knowledge of middleware tools (e.g., IBM Integration Bus / ACE, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.)

9. MMIS Domain Knowledge

10. Understanding of Medicaid modules (e.g., Eligibility, Claims, Provider, MCOs)

11. Familiarity with HIPAA X12 transactions (e.g., 270/271, 837, 835, 278, 999/TA1)

12. Hands-on experience with EDI standards, validation, and translation

13. Cloud & Infrastructure

14. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud) for hosting integration components

15. Containerization concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) if ITX is deployed in cloud-native environments

16. Data Management & Mapping

17. Proficiency in handling complex data transformations, validations, and mapping between different formats (e.g., XML, JSON, X12, flat files)

18. Experience with data lineage and impact analysis

19. Security & Compliance

20. Strong understanding of HIPAA, PII/PHI protections

21. Experience with encryption, authentication, authorization, audit trails, and secure file transfers (SFTP, HTTPS)

22. Solution Architecture

23. Ability to create high-level and low-level design artifacts

24. Define integration patterns, data flow diagrams, error handling, and recovery strategies

25. Performance Optimization

26. Experience tuning ITX performance (e.g., memory, throughput, map execution time)

27. Familiarity with scalability and high availability design patterns
