Role & responsibilities

  • Should be able to read manufacturing drawings.
  • Hands on experience of Time study & Motion study.
  • In depth knowledge of Assembly processes.
  • Develop assembly processes for new product.
  • Layout planning of Assembly shop for various product as per takt time.
  • Should be able to design assembly work stations and assembly line for new product.
  • Should be able to design & execute assembly tooling (Jigs, Fixtures & Templates).
  • Continuously improve production processes by implementing lean initiatives.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods.
  • Should be able to provide technical solution for shop floor issues.
  • Creating the technical conditions for zero-defect production.
  • Experience in methods / work instruction preparation.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
  • Well conversant with the manufacturing processes and the costs associated with it.
