The Enterprise Data Platforms Organization enables the business functions with an integrated and intuitive Enterprise platform services in the field of Databases, Integration and Analytical Platform services.

Roles & Responsibilities: SaS Platform Grid/Viya Administrator: (3-10 Years of Experience)
SAS Platform Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain SAS 9.4 Grid / Viya in Linux environments.
• Deploy and manage SAS Grid on AWS EC2's with EFS as shared file storage.
• Configure SAS Metadata Server, Compute nodes and Mid-Tier.
• Apply SAS hotfixes, perform password rotations and manage version upgrades(Life Cycle Management).
• Configure and maintain SAS libraries, authentication, and metadata security.
• Troubleshoot any issues and get Root Cause Analysis(RCA). If needed collaborate with SAS vendor.
• Maintain 100% availability of the SAS Grid platforms.

Linux & AWS Infrastructure Management

• Administer Linux servers used for SAS Grid (Red Hat / Amazon Linux).
• Manage AWS resources for SAS deployment – EC2, EFS, Security Groups, IAM roles.
• Aware and used different filesystems(both Windows and Linux based protocols).
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies in AWS.
• Collaborate with multiple platform teams(Linux/Windows/Storage/Network/VM)

Automation & Monitoring

• Develop custom monitoring scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) for Grid job performance, disk usage, metadata health, and system availability.
• Automate access provisioning and de-provisioning processes via scripts and metadata APIs.
• Integrate SAS monitoring with enterprise tools (Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
• User Support & Governance - Provide technical support for SAS developers, analysts, and business users in case of any Grid related issues
• Manage metadata security, roles, and permissions.
• Document SOPs for SAS platform maintenance and deployment.
• On-call support for any P1/P2 Incidents.
• Weekend on-call support and available for any maintenance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Graduation with 3-10 years of working experience on SAS Grid Platform.
• SAS Grid Platform Administration – SAS 9.4 Grid on Linux and Viya 4.0 on AWS EKS
• SAS Desktop tools(SAS EG, PC SAS) installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of SAS Viya cloud deployments and administration.
• Knowledge of JMP tool, R administration
• Basics of Clinical trial process and steps.
• Exposure to tools like Python and R.
• Hands on fundamental experience with Base SAS and basic SAS Macros.
• Experience with LSF/GSUB for job scheduling and workload balancing
• Strong understanding of SAS Metadata security and authentication
• Configure SAS Environment Manager and expertise
• AWS – EC2 provisioning, EFS configuration, networking, security
• Linux Administration – Server setup & monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting
• Knowledge in VMs concept and usage.
• Understanding on Citrix setup and its usage
• Monitoring & Automation – Bash/Python scripts, SAS logs monitoring, SAS environments monitoring, automated provisioning
• Familiarity with backup and Disaster Recovery processes in AWS and On-prem.
• Integration with LDAP/AD for user authentication
• Filesystem with Windows, Linux and multi-protocol based solution.
• Familiarity with CloudFormation / Terraform for infrastructure automation
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Splunk
• Tickets handling with Service Now or any other ticketing tools.
• Expertise in Documentations for maintaining Security/CSQA standards.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Handle business requirements and queries.

Additional Details

• Availability to work flexible work hours is/may be required. This team will support continuous operations across two shifts and therefore, this role will require non-standard work hours, and some work on weekends and holidays. Appropriate adjustments in benefits will be provided for employees working non-standard hours where applicable.
