Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting & Demand Planning

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts across various time horizons and product categories using historical data, market trends, and business inputs.
  • Apply statistical models and forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and reduce forecast errors.
  • Monitor forecast performance metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Finance teams to incorporate business intelligence into forecast assumptions.

Planning Systems & Process Optimization

  • Utilize demand planning tools, statistical software, and ERP systems to support forecasting and planning.
  • Support the maintenance and optimization of demand planning systems, ensuring data integrity and hierarchy accuracy.
  • Generate and maintain planning dashboards and reports to support data-driven decisions.

Inventory & Volume Planning

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to demand and inventory.
  • Classify inventory (fast/slow/non-moving) to guide planning strategies.
  • Ensure timely material allocation and manage order vs. forecast reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with supply planning to align volume plans with inventory and fulfillment strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Product Management, and Finance teams to align planning processes and resolve variances.
  • Facilitate and support demand planning meetings to align on forecasts and business goals.
  • Present key findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
