Role Overview

We're seeking an 
AI Engineer with experience in healthcare or life sciences
 — ideally someone who has 
previously built or contributed to diagnostic AI or open evidence platforms for doctors.

You'll work at the intersection of 
AI, clinical data, and product design
, creating intelligent systems that understand and generate medical-grade insights for clinicians.

You'll collaborate with doctors, pharmacologists, and product managers to bring 
real-world clinical reasoning into AI
.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Model Development:
  • Build, fine-tune, and optimize LLM-based and retrieval-augmented systems for clinical question answering, diagnosis reasoning, and evidence summarization.
  • Knowledge Engineering:
  • Design ontology and pipelines to integrate structured (guidelines, trials) and unstructured (research papers, case summaries) data.
  • Clinical Data Integration:
  • Translate diagnostic workflows, treatment pathways, and clinical protocols into structured product logic.
  • Prompt & Context Engineering:
  • Develop robust prompt frameworks for oncology, pharmacology, and diagnostics, ensuring clinical accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Evidence Validation Layer:
  • Build confidence-scoring and source-tracking systems to cite ICMR, NEJM, Cochrane, and PubMed references for every output.
  • Product Collaboration:
  • Work with medical experts and UX teams to design evidence-driven interfaces that doctors trust and enjoy using.
  • Deployment & Optimization:
  • Implement scalable AI pipelines (Azure OpenAI stack, LangChain, vector DBs) for low-latency inference and retrieval.

Who You Are

  • Education:
     B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field
  • Experience:
     2–6 years in applied AI / NLP, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, or evidence systems
  • Core Skills:
  • LLM integration (GPT, Claude, Mistral, MedPaLM, etc.)
  • RAG pipeline design using LangChain / LlamaIndex / Haystack
  • NLP frameworks (Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Experience handling medical text (PubMed, EHR, clinical notes, guidelines)
  • Knowledge of ontologies (UMLS, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, RxNorm)
  • API integration with Azure OpenAI / Hugging Face / PubMed APIs
  • Bonus: Experience in 
    building diagnostic AI or open-evidence platforms
     for clinicians
