Job Description: Senior Safety Officer (Civil) Industry: Construction Experience Required: 8–9 Years Civil Industry

Education:- Diploma / Degree in Civil or relevant field Experience in managing safety at civil, or industrial project sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor the company's EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies at construction sites.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and client safety requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain site safety documentation such as JSA, HIRA, PTW, toolbox talks, inspection reports, etc.
  • Conduct safety induction training for new workers and periodic safety training for all site staff.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor its availability and quality.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for safe execution of work.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and ensure availability of first-aid and firefighting equipment.
  • Maintain records of safety audits, safety violations, risk assessments, safety meetings, etc.
  • Ensure compliance during high-risk activities: working at height, lifting operations, excavation, scaffolding, hot work, confined space, heavy equipment movement, etc.
  • Liaise with client safety teams and participate in safety meetings.
